Question Unanswered Issues

I'm on the fence about the lounge being "quite nice" and "filthy hole". I frequent the domestic J lounge and the last time I was in the international counterpart was 2016 (yes, I try to avoid using PR for international flights as going through immigration in the small T2 on the MNL leg is a pain in the behind). The lounge basically is a far cry from the CX lounge in T3 but definitely better than the (renovated) general transit area. The arroz caldo is still a go-to dish (also available at Pacific Club T3 for those with access sans the salted egg garnish) but the rest of the food is meh.

Regarding the transfer, it is all up in the air as stated in this April 2018 news article (https://www.rappler.com/business/199...lines-proposal). One can surmise from the wordings that there is yet no solid plan as transferring airline operations is not as simple as dumping everything into a U-Haul and heading out. I think the proposal is quite sound, but can be a logistical nightmare, especially for 5J as some PR flights (US and ME) already use T1.

The government may also need to consider that the 3 alliances (Skyteam, OW and Star Alliance) have representations in both T1 and T3. CX and SQ have invested heavily in the construction of their lounges but they are already crowded as it is during peak hour. DL outsources the Pacific Club and that lounge is even smaller. That kind of move will make KF and MPC J and elites rather unhappy if the already crowded lounge scene worsens.

As they say in Filipino - "abangan" (let's wait).
