Chux are flat, absorbent sheets with a textured surface made from a substance looking like, but very much stronger than paper, sold in packs of 20-100 for wiping up spills. They are 30x60cm so I cut them in half to give 12" squares.
The North American equivalent would be HandiWipes,
. Here Chux is a commonly used term for a completely different product, and formerly was a trademarked brand.
