Everything I know comes from that page and it was the answer given to me to post in answer to that question, so perhaps the question was lacking in clarity?

To review...FIVE THINGS LIFETIME MEMBERS NEED TO KNOW:

Rest assured. If you’ve previously achieved Lifetime Elite status in Rewards or SPG, you’ll have Lifetime Elite status in the new program. Rewards members click here. SPG members click here.
  1. Starting in August, you’ll be able to qualify instantly for one of our three Lifetime status levels:
    • Lifetime Silver Elite
    • Lifetime Gold Elite
    • Lifetime Platinum Elite
  2. You can also qualify for Lifetime status via the existing criteria for Rewards and SPGthrough December 31, 2018.
  3. A Lifetime status level is determined by the total Elite years achieved at that level or a higher level. For example, Rewards Gold Elite and SPG Gold years are combined and applied toward the total number of Elite years needed for the new Lifetime Gold Elite status — but Rewards Silver Elite years are not because Silver Elite is a lower level than Gold Elite. If you achieved Elite status in both Rewards and SPG in the same year, you’ll receive credit for two Elite years.
  4. As always, when your current Elite status is higher than your Lifetime status, you’ll receive the higher status and benefits for that year.

NOTE: Members that reach 750 nights and 10 years at Platinum by December 31, 2018 will be grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status (notified January 2019). In addition, members that achieve Marriott Rewards Lifetime Platinum under the legacy requirements by year end will also be grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status. And, don’t forget that we’ll combine Lifetime activity across both Rewards and SPG toward qualification when members combine accounts in August. Beginning in 2019, qualification into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status will not be available. See FAQs for details.

I don't have another thing I can tell you.
