YMMV? It's indisputably the shortest lie-flat in the UA fleet. Experientially, anecdotally, and according to UA's own published measurements.

1A has the larger footwell so you don't notice it so much.

Topically, TPG has a review of this seat today, and the author (at 5-9) noted that his feet touched the end of the footwell in 1L. Review - United 767-400 LHR-EWR
