I agree on your perspective. I am an ultra-light traveller, and most often travel only with a small 20L backpack. Maybe half the size of the allowed carry-on size. Instead of weight restrictions, the airlines should focus on the
number of items onboard. This is what has become totally crazy, fuelled by the (for most economy pax) costly checked-in luggage. Today's practice with carry-on, personal items, shopping bags, winter jackets
, children (+++) really makes the whole boarding ultra slow. While me and my backpack is seating in literally 1 second, I amuse myself watching the helpless other passengers...
