Until August, the Sheraton in Kona is a category 4 hotel on the legacy SPG chart, which equates to a category 6 hotel (30,000 points per night) on the chart for legacy Marriott Rewards.
As for the bed, I've never seen a king-sized bed without a king-sized box spring. It strikes me as very usual.
