I truly cannot imagine a scenario in which this would be advisable. If OP is really not going to be flying UA anymore, then I suggest that OP book one business class trip, perhaps on partners, and enjoy spending down the miles with their full value.

OP, if you share which airport you are now close to, and how many UA miles you have banked, perhaps we can offer some suggestions.
