Brandie--original poster here.

Obscure--I'll report back on my impressions. I've visited twice before. Once I've visited in November and once in December. Thanks
for the recap of John Dory fish and explaining cicetti. I'll be on the lookout for a seafood risotto and a Prosecco of the Veneto region.

Akcaver--Thanks for the tips to walk around Rialto early am and Cannaregio!

CKendal--thanks for the wine info! I think I'll try for some wine of the Veneto region.

Forstbetrieb--Red wine sounds good too!

Mmack--I'll look into Local restaurant!

Michael El--Thanks for the tip on San Stefano Restaurant. I'm not sure if I'm getting to Murano.

Omsflyer and Askias--I don't have kids but I'd probably make reservations somewhere. I think you'll get
a better meal and less expensive than randomly walking around.

Puchong and Stace Humphrey--for the cheapest food you have to be outside of Venice.

Nancy D--Have fun! I'll report back after my visit.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'm going to review Oliver's thread again and all of the suggestions
on here to decide on my next restaurant for reservations.
