Well it sounds like you missed out on the easiest free night credit of all. MR gives a free one night's credit birthday present. If you have your birthday on you MR account, you will get an email. Click a link and you get one night's credit. If your 2018 birthday has already passed, call and you can retroactively get the credit. It's only one night's credit but it's free, so why not?
