So it didn’t take long to find out what hotel company would rebrand Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas. Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Hilton’s luxury hotel brand, said it plans to convert the Mandarin Oriental to the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas in August 2018. Waldorf Astoria will assume full operation of the property with plans to re-imagine and renovate the hotel.
The rebranding was set in motion after CityCenter Holdings, LLC, a joint venture between MGM Resorts and Dubai’s Infinity World Development Corp., announced at the end of April that it was selling the hotel for $214 million to an unidentified buyer. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group subsequently announced that it had received a notice of termination of its management agreement for the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas and would stop managing the hotel on Aug. 30, 2018.
When the property opens as the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas it will be the brand’s first property in the market. The hotel will offer True Waldorf Service with Personal Concierges to ensure every guest enjoys thoughtful, intuitive and graceful service. Guests also can expect innovative dining concepts, spectacular views of The Strip from the hotel’s exclusive 23rd floor bar, helicopter rides, spa retreats and more.

Waldorf-Astoria Las Vegas’ proximity to all of the amenities at Aria Resort & Casino, including a state-of-the-art gaming facility, offers guests convenient access to a signature Las Vegas experience while still providing the iconic True Waldorf Service. Located at 3752 S. Las Vegas Blvd, the property is situated on the Las Vegas Strip and sits near some of the city’s landmarks, including the fountains of Bellagio. It also is just steps away from the entertainment hub featuring Aria, The Park and the 20,000-seat T-Mobile Arena.
