It's answered in the Wiki as question A3. You will have Gold status in the new program come August 1st. So you will no longer have lounge access or the breakfast that goes with that.
All that should be clear by now, but Marriott is STILL sending out emails to people like you (Amex Plat holders with current Marriott Gold) telling them they will have Platinum status from August through to January 2019!
