I was planning to not comment in this thread (in the spirit of not feeding the trolls), but this is the heart of it. I travel between 40 & 48 weeks per year doing something that I absolutely love. But I am gone. A lot.
Last year my wife wanted to go to Las Vegas for a short vacation. We mostly used my frequent flyer miles, hotel points and car rental points to cover the hard costs, which was nice... but we literally ended up staying in the same room in the same hotel that I had spent the previous week in, for work.
On the flight down I said "This is great, honey! I get to take a week off from flying somewhere, staying in a hotel and eating in restaurants so that we can fly somewhere, stay in a hotel, and eat in restaurants!"
