I mentioned it to the employee working at the desk and her response was, "I am sorry". I told her that I believe that was I entitled to $100 or some other monetary amount. She had the deer in the headlight look, so I said that I would speak to the manager when I returned in 3 days. I spoke to the manager who said that I should have resolved it when I noticed no platinum award gift when I checked in on the previous stay. No big deal, I mean, what the hell, only been staying here 22 nights a month since December and the platinum gift is not even as important or expensive as the shirt I lost using the hotel's dry cleaning service...laughing. Sometimes it is tough being loyal.
Just as a follow-up to my above post. When I returned to the hotel on my next stay, I had an envelope containing a $50 bill and an apology for the missing arrival gift. I might be wishing that they forget the gift everytime as I can buy lots of water and cookies for $50.
