Why to grandfather something? To make an additional level in the future like AA added Platinum Pro? In my case would be 'fair' if MR would allow to achieve grandfathered LTPPE for combined 750+ nights and 10+ years of combined Platinum until the end 2018. Would not happen,most likely. By the end of the day, the hotels&resorts decide to whom to give an upgrade(PE or PPE) at first. Could not care less about SNA's, must be a US thing, always chosed a free night with SPG. I will get breakfast,lounge access and 4PM check-out guaranteed,regardless the amount of PPE or PE members in the hotel. Since basically all of my stays are outside of US, I have got upgraded to suite in 8/10 stays.
