It is true, from the Marriott side of things, it all looks like sunshine and butterflies at the moment. But if they take my favorite cat 5 hotels that i like to frequent in the summer, and change redemption value from 25k to 40k, that makes my Marriott rewards rather useless. I can get cat 8 hotels at $500-$700 a night at the moment for 40,000 anytime of year. My cat 5 hotels are typically $120-$150. If they don't adjust these to cat 3 or 4, it's game over...
