Starting August 1, SPG Gold will become Gold elites; and MR Gold will become Plat elites. I'm actually a little confused by this since you can currently match SPG Gold to Marriott Gold. Why not just make it consistent and upgrade both legacy Golds to the new elite Plats for this year? Am I missing something here?
