I've followed this issue closely as someone with thousands of nights so I have a lot to lose. I think everything in the blogo world and here goes back to those two posts so I'm genuinely interested in what social media Marriott has used to post these mid-year changes that concern some ...

The August changes are probably going to be positive or neutral- a single website for Starwood, Marriott & Ritz and possibly combined earning. (See document posted by a FT member in the Marriott thread)

There is nothing scary in any of the leaked printed documents. It is the rumors about the new tiers and benefits that has everyone in an uproar. And we have no idea how accurate those rumors are.

I do believe that this was Marriott’s first major misstep since the merger. They should have just made tomorrow’s announcement without all this fanfare. We are all primed for disappointing news from our loyalty programs. So even if most of the news is positive on Monday they have unnecessarily worried a lot of members and created negative publicity.
