I don't read this as a ban against gifting the Gold card and receiving something in return. The Gold gift is not a flight ticket, nor is it a voucher. However, the terms say "such as", indicating that AY may include whatever they like here.
However, reading this, I wonder if all those online upgrades that have been discussed a lot here are actually against the T&C. You know, where people upgrade friends and not family members. Or did they change that part of the T&C?
