My husband and I are planning a trip for our 10th Ann in June. Our miles are a bit spread, though all within *A and UR. Here's the breakdown:
UR: 83,813
United: 1250 each
SAS: We each have 7500 as do our 3 children from a trip last year

I know we have to transfer at least some of the kids points into our accounts to be able to have enough to get 2 E class for our upcoming trip.
Questions:
1. Is it better to have all the needed points go to one person in order to book both tix together or book them individually from our respective accounts?
2. We're not particular on where we go, we have some ideas but nothing nailed down yet. Dates are more important so I figure we'll go wherever we find good reward flights. Thinking we'll utilize United (flying out of MCI) but I suppose we could just as easily fly any other *A partner too? Is there a more ideal airline or something else I'm missing?
