My Mom, partner and I had our interviews on April 2nd. My mom was told she would be getting a “special exemption” as they couldn’t get useable fingerprints. Apparently it’s somewhat common in seniors. The American agent said not to worry, and that her approval email would take a few days longer.

My partner and I received our approval emails about an hour after the interview. My mom just received hers (April 8), so a bit longer than a few days, but still ok.
