I would not say the Pullman is near Central, its a good 10-15 min walk up hill to get to it. I am not sure I would be staying near Central anyway if it were me. The Pullman is the old Marriott and quite nice but dated, with the added benefit of the lounge. My two go to properties in Sydney are both the old Quay properties, being Quay West and Quay Grand. The Mecure is popular with tour groups and again is tired while the Novotel I have not stayed, it too is old, as it was formerly the Citygate.
