I’m not a big NCL fan but know from years of cruising the Epic has gotten more than its share of negative reviews. I think a lot of that came from it’s less than attractive design. The feedback was so bad that I believe NCL cancelled or delayed subsequent planned builds and did a redesign so the Epic turned out to be a one-off build. Looking at the interiors, which underwent renovation in 2015, she appears to be consistent with other NCL ships. Personally I don’t worry too much about a ship’s exterior design. Kind of reminds me of people who have asked me how is the space/ride in the backseat of the various cars I’ve owned over the years. Typically I say “I don’t know....I usually drive from the front seat.” The Epic might look like a cargo ship to some but it’s service, food, entertainment, cabins, etc., that make a ship.
