Dave, good point. Policy for our company and our travel agency is Y-up which on LAX>JFK isn't available so it's usually refundable J. The outbound booked in F and return in J. It may have been the only premium cabin available, I'm not sure. Only speculation and it was a nice surprise.
Travel agency using up credits they had available for your work?
I have seen this with my previous employer who were using Expdia's business section, they once in a while would book a ticket using credits available from canceled flights (across our company not just me) and those flights would usual be AA vouchers and not earn anything.
I would still see the normal "charge" for that ticket and do an expense, no idea how finance would book it.
