You can also book MCO to Manchester, UK on a DL Virgin award. However, there is a little wrinkle in this if you book an VS Upper Class Award using Skymiles. I did this once and checked with Virgin, who e-mailed me back and told me that there was no Upper Class, only Orlando Class, on this Orlando/Manchester flight. This Orlando Class of service is actually the old Upper Class seating with Premium Economy Service and not Upper Class Service. Also, there is no VS Clubhouse Lounge at Manchester Airport.

So it appears that DL are touting this as a VS Upper Class Award when it is fact is not. I spoke to a couple of DL res agents who handle VS awards and they where totally unaware of this situation. I sent an e-mail to DL Skymiles Customer Service about this and needless to say, no response.

Ended up changing this trip to a VS London Flight where they actually have Upper Class.
