For the April 15-May 14 diversion, You DO need a pre-appled-for visa if you fly into the Brazil side if you are American, Canadian or Australian, as Argentina was not able to work out and arrangement with Brazil.
Also, there will NOT be a free bus from the Brazil airport to the Argentina side, you will have to find and pay for your own transport.
See the other thread about the diversion. The early ideas which have been negated last month was specualtion based on past situtaions which will not happen due to clear latest messages from the governments and airlines.
