Same thing happened to me - my final leg in December (MAD > ALG) was cancelled and now both Orbitz and Iberia (US call center) are telling me my only choice is to cancel the entire trip for full refund, though I'd much prefer to just drop that final leg. I haven't tried calling Iberia Spain directly but will do so this week.
I called Iberia Spain and they weren't very helpful. I was offered to fly to LGW and connect on to MAD from LHR lol
I might try changing the dates to sometime earlier when flights to ALG are available, will report back if I'm successful once I find suitable dates.
