I assume the answer to both of these is yes because I can see no reason it wouldn't (although the tech behind it does escape me), but want to confirm before I consider that route.

It comes down to how the purchase is transacted -- how UA is paid. Does UA know you used a particular card? And was UA paid directly with that card? Or was UA paid by the third party?
