1. I would select one of the window seats. The inside seat is cool for a while but I was more than happy to swap. First choice would be either 2A or 1K, the two seats with a wall across the aisle.
2. Correct...sort of. While there is no buddy seat, inside suites 1E and 2F are visible to the window seats 1A and 2K respectively as the doors are opposite each other.
You are probably 8 feet apart... similar to 2AK on the LH 744 nose. Not intimate but still able to communicate and connect with a companion.
