Personally I avoid the exit rows on the 200s. Because they don't give an appreciable amount of extra leg room and your chances of having a large seatmate (either height or width) are high because those people by default go for the exit row since they don't realize that doesn't give you much on a 200. 2B/C or 3B/C are what I think of as the least bad seats on that plane.
I was sitting in 8B last week staring at the plastic strip that covers the seat tracks in 7C, 8C, and 9C. I wish I had a tape measure to conclusively answer the question, but visually I could see no difference in the spacing between row 8 and the other non-exit rows.
