And it's not rare. The wait time is normally more than 15 minutes based on my experience.
Ritz Carlton is already pretty disappointed. Compared with top brand in Hyatt family, Park Hyatt, Ritz Carlton does not offer complimentary breakfast for top-tier members while PH does. I also got way less room upgrade from R/C. Another weird thing is that Megabonus promotion is intentionally hidden from R/C members, and there's no much promotions for R/C members (I can't recall a single one in last year). The only reason I stayed 10-ish nights at R/C last year is that I got some club lounge access from R/C credit card. Otherwise I don't see much reason I should favor R/C over top-tier brands at other chain.
Ritz has double nights on a paid stay - that's about it for a promotion and only if you are RC Rewards member.
