Then after one night in Åndalsnes, I took the bus to Geiranger, and the bus journey included a ferry crossing. Then after two nights in Geiranger, I went north on Hurtigruten to Ålesund. Then after spending two nights in Ålesund, I went south again on Hurtigruten to Bergen.

It seems like a convoluted way to get from Kirkenes to Bergen. However, it was carefully planned because I wanted to see specific things along the way, like:
  • The Rauma Railway from Dombås to Åndalsnes
  • The Trollstgen road and Ørnesvingen road on the way from Åndalsnes to Geiranger
  • The Geiranger Fjord on the way up from Geiranger to Ålesund
Not sure if your first sentence was directed to my comment directly above, but I certainly did not intend to suggest someone *not* asking questions here!

But there are other resources *also*, including one that is specifically related to cruises, with a sub-forum specifically about "Hurtigruten" cruises.
There are good resources here on FlyerTalk, but that doesn't mean one might not benefit from other resources, too.

Similarly, there is the "cruise" section right here on FlyerTalk:

There have been some recent discussions of Hurtigruten cruises.
