Traveling through YUL

I travel from BOS to YYC for a week and then return. I do this about once a month.

I am sitting in the YUL lounge as i type this.

I came through today. I checked a bag due to the weight and type of items in the bag. When i got to the US Connection in YUL, the first stop is to scan the boarding pass for baggage. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my bags to catch up. - which i expected. Then i went to the security line. Not too many people. I do not have Nexus/GE. They directed me to a shorter line, not the nexus/GE or employee line. I think it was the priority line. Security was realatively pain free. Then i went onto customs. YUL is doing a trial to see if they can be more efficient - declaration cards are not required. They do have passport scanners, but that doesn’t work for TN visas. So i got to speak with an agent. Then i was through.

Honestly, this experience is better than my typical experience going through YYZ.
