So, our last morning in New York!
I woke up a little bit worse for wear but managed to pull myself together and head out for a wander. We walked down to the UN Plaza - waste of time as nothing was going on and we saw nothing. We then looked at a few shops and wandered down to the Flat Iron Building and then back to 230 5th for a last drink.
So that was the end of a great trip. I had called in love with New York. We got checked in and headed to the CCR for a spot of chill time before dinner. Stud 2 went to shower while I chilled with a cocktail and some music. We then headed through to the restaurant and had some dinner before we boarded. We had sight go two kids - one who was going absolutely mental. I hoped to sweet Jesus that they wouldn't be on our flight. They were but the parents must have given him some whisky or something as he fell asleep pretty much after take off!
BA182 , JFK - LHR, G-YMMG, B772
The crew on board this flight were just amazing. One of the ladies just went out of her way to chat, ask about my time in New York and was probably one of the best members of BA staff I have had the pleasure of coming across before.
A few glasses of fizz later and we were on our way to London. Flight time of 5 hours 40 mins.
Blurry menu but I decided to grab some soup and the chicken pie before I headed to bed.
But not before having a wee G&T!
Soup was absolutely amazing!
Whisky before a great sleep!
I woke up about 50 mins outside of London and one of the crew was at my seat in a minute taking my order for breakfast. I loved having breakfast while still cosy under the duvet.
And before long, we came in over London with a decent view of central London.
Ugh, bus gate!
BA are trialling a new thing for F passengers from JFK where some guy comes and takes off the bags of F class passengers. I'm not sure how useful it is given that you should be first off the plane. The only benefit is that someone else hauls your bag off the carousel...... is that really that great!?
Said bye to Stud 2 and headed up to the CCR where I had booked a cabana. Took a nap for an hour, had a shower and then headed into the lounge for a few drinks and a late lunch before heading back to Aberdeen.
So all in all, this was a great weekend away. I was blown away with New York - it was more than I could have ever imagined. I am already thinking about when I can fit in a trip back there!
Thanks for following along with this report..... you can follow my other travels (which don't come with a TR) on Instagram!
