I've stayed at the Sheraton Anchorage exactly twice. As everyone says, it's not the world's greatest hotel, but it's not the worst either. I would say it is a rather typical Sheraton. The first time I got an upgrade to the closest thing they have to a suite, but I had to negotiate. The second time they gave me the same sort of suite without negotiation. But negotiation was necessary to get coupons for breakfast on the weekend. The strangest thing about the hotel is that the bell staff double as concierge.
