Been there and done that and no points credited. I had done exactly as you described, booked online using Avion online booking for our two adult children, confirmed Flex fare class, added their Aeroplan numbers to the booking. Had done this numerous times over the past few years and until this year had always had the mileage credit to their Aeroplan numbers. Not this year.
Well we shall see as the flight is not for a few months. However I have a AC email with the fare class showing as flex V economy. So I will use that email to ask for the points. According to AC's own chart, flex V is 100%. If this would should some of the ineligible classes then fine but it clearly shows the fare class and description and the email is from AC
