That is really useful. Am guessing you walked straight to passport control after disembarking from the flight? Did it take you long to get through? Never been through Cairo, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Straight to passport control, and it was very efficient. I made it from the aircraft to curb in under 10 minutes (no checked bag).

Agreed, I probably wouldn't recommend going through the hassle unless the pages are really important. For me, I'm down to 4 pages left, and I'll need to reapply for 3 visas ($600+) if I get a new passport. So I have a pretty big incentive to get my passport to last through middle of next year. I imagine it doesn't matter to most people nearly as much.
