Used Uber from HNL for first time the other day. Pickup from international terminal is at departure level on the median by UA/section 8.
Price for my XL trip to my home (roughly same distance to Waikiki) was quoted as as around $46, which was slightly less expensive than normal taxi I rate. When charge ge came through, I was shocked to get a charge of only $32! I did tip the driver $10 cash). Big plus was that the driver spoke a English, which is not frequent in the taxi ranks.
Only problem with ride was my fault: I was so jet lagged after 18 hours in the air, I forgot to use my Plat card’s &15 credit.
FYI, there is an Uber pickup point at the Inter-Island terminal as well.
