How long did you spend in the 9/11 museum and did you book tickets in advance? Its top of my to do list for NY this summer but not sure how long to give being in the museum before planning something else for the afternoon. Is it worth doing a tour or is it easy enough walking round yourself?

We spent coming up for three hours in there but you could easily spend some more time. There are tours available (which obviously come at a price) but I was happy enough walking around myself and at my own pace. I didn't fancy the idea of being forced to go around at someone else's speed.
