In Dallas, we have a few of those scenarios where there are two Starbucks seemingly across the street from each other (and I'm aware of at least three places where there are two Starbucks in the same anchor center on one corner). Here, traffic patterns can force loyalty in one direction or the other. Like I know that if they happened to open a second Starbucks by me on the opposite side of Denton Tap Road, that would be the one I went to on weekday mornings because I would not have to cross traffic twice to get my coffee... and would likely shave 5 to 10 minutes off the morning stop.
