She said they have been receiving a lot of complaints and may rethink the policy. I pointed out that on my MIA - DTW flight on Saturday the wifi was down so I had no newspaper to read on my device and I would have had newspapers to read if the SC in MIA stocked them.

This is partly why I always try to use every service or take every amenity offered by an airline or hotel. If the hotel has slippers, I take the slippers. If the airline lounge or hotel has newspapers and/or magazines, I take them. I don't want some bean counter saying, "Well, X percentage of guests never use this service or amenity so we can eliminate it."
