There was a large stack of fresh San Francisco Chronicles in the SFO SkyClub a couple of days ago when I passed through.

Still can't believe companies have to wait til negative comments flood in to see that policy changes are dumb....

SFO AMEX CL had WSJ, NYT and San Francisco Chronicle yesterday (to compare).

This has been DL's SkyClub (apparent) policy since the merger with NW. Gut benefits and wait to see what people complain about. Yes, they have added in some good services since then, but I really dislike this approach.

How did you complain through the website? What category?

I went through the website and got a stock standard response about 'noting my complaint about the Skymiles program'

This is partly why I always try to use every service or take every amenity offered by an airline or hotel. If the hotel has slippers, I take the slippers. If the airline lounge or hotel has newspapers and/or magazines, I take them. I don't want some bean counter saying, "Well, X percentage of guests never use this service or amenity so we can eliminate it."

Indeed, and that was very kind of you. However that was not my question.

I signed in, clicked on "comment/complaint" & selected "voice a complaint" and "after a trip". I then had to fill in my flight info to get to the narrative block where I could write about my policy displeasure. If it matters, I am Gold.

Did you select the option to request a response?

I was in the SFO SkyClub Wednesday night and saw one Chronicle where they stack newspapers, and a handful of others throughout the club (unclear if they were from that stack or were brought in by passengers).

I saw a few of the "junky" magazines as well, no "real" magazines.

Why is an amenity that you wouldn't want to use but is currently available worth saving? Wouldn't you rather have those resources repurposed towards an amenity you would actually enjoy using??

Glad they are reading. Hopefully they listen too.

This is basically the whole approach US Airways is taking with AA.
