Haven't had that rye, but have had several other Orphan Barrel products. They always have some age going for them... but IMHO are a bit over-priced for what they are. Good, but more in the $50 range good vs. the $100+ a lot of their stuff commands.
Still, a 25-year anything is quite a treat.
Picked up a bottle in Colorado at a decent price ($120). Have to say, it's so-so. Probably a bit too much age for a rye; a lot of the spiciness has been overly smoothed out by the time in barrel. Could stand to be a bit higher proof, too.
It's decent drinking, to be sure. But like almost all the other Orphan Barrel I've tried, it's overpriced and overhyped vs. what it actually is. YMMV.
