Do other hotel chains also lack good hotels in Rome? Or is it just Accor, that it seems even their Sofitel seems also lacking any wow factor when you see those pictures the rooms look very worn out and something you would expect at a low 4 star hotel not a 5 star hotel.
I have no experience in other chain hotel in Italy, but I have stayed in many independent hotels in Italy. Globally, I would say that Italy is a country lacking nice and modern hotels compared to other Western European countries. I have never stayed in an Italian hotel where I want to return if I come back in this area. A pity because this is one of my favorite country
