I've stayed at the Bloc several times simply as I valued my sleep time more than getting up at 4 am to get ready to get the train etc. I leave London the same time I'd wind down for the night - just depending on where you're leaving from check the train frequencies. From London Bridge last year after around 9.30pm the direct one stop services only happened once an hour if at all but I think there is or will be soon a more frequent evening service coming. Otherwise a 30 mins trip becomes an all stops 55 min journey.
