That is easier said than done, because of the vast size of the US. For example, Virgin America was one such startup, which provided above average seating and service. However, they were recently purchase by Alaska, which is just a slight-above average airline from a service perspective. JetBlue provides some unique service features, but they are not very strong in the Western US.
