Nothing earth shattering, but I figured I'd share a minor data point.
Was in a branch today in Georgia (Atlanta) for a checking account (bonus) and I asked for the hell of it if they could do anything special for me to help with getting approved for the Alaska Credit Card. I wasn't expecting anything, but the banker said applying through him would be the same as applying @ their website. I asked only because I know some banks like Chase can sometimes give special "perks" like back when the Sapphire Reserve had the 100K extended longer through in-person bank visits and also anecdotes of people getting by the 5-24 rule through in-bank authorization.
Anyways, the banker also said they would only pull TransUnion (for Georgia, I am assuming) so that was nice to hear. If you're on the fence about hard pulls, perhaps a banker can give you similar insight depending on the state you're in.
