Was offered an upgrade to PY during OLCI at t-24 from Tango on LHR-YUL tomorrow for £144 ($270). This seemed surprisingly cheap, and since I'd already booked a preferred seat it was only an additional $170 in essence. I've never flown PY on AC metal, and understand the A330 fleet has recently been retrofitted with this PY cabin. Wondering how the experience compares to PY on 777/778 and if this sort of price will be frequently offered for TATL on these new and impoved A330's. I know Y is much more comfortable on these planes versus 777/778's, and if this may contribute to the cheaper LMU (which has usually been $400-500 on these routes from Tango in my experience).
