I did not use the pool.
Location of hotel is superb. Easy 2 minute walk to BTS Skytrain and the Skywalk.
As for taxi recognition I used Chit Lom BTS station as a landmark. No issues for me in this regard.
If not using Millennium Hilton (my regular choice) I would always use Renaissance now.
