When I first saw this headline I was like, "
Smokers
". But then upon reading the article I was like "Mental illness
." It certainly can't diagnosed from afar in an individual case, but I know from experience there are a lot of people out there with closet problems.
Closet, as they're mostly functional as adults so it's seldom noticed. But put them in the wrong kind of stressful situation and dangerous, self-destructive or highly aggressive behavior comes out, along with a delusional belief that they are "right" or at least acting normally. I say this as the relative of at least one such person....
