We get it, you're pissed, we all would be. But Delta isn't going to go bankrupt in karmic retribution from having wronged you. Take a break, stop posting today, and come back tomorrow.
I was on the other end of this in DUB. I saw the storm on my iPhone while at a pub in Dublin and woke up at 4am that night to see if the JFK flight departed yet as I suspected it may not get out. When I saw that it hadn't I called the DM line proactively. It is a bit frustrating that my flight showed on-time in DUB since there wasn't any chance in hell it would arrive on time, but I can understand how busy flight ops must get when storms like this blow through.
Long story short - I offered to buy an Aer Lingus ticket from DUB to LHR if Delta changed my ticket to LHR-DTW to my final destination. They found available Delta One options and accommodated with no questions (they offered to pay for Aer Lingus but it would have taken another 30 minutes to get that taken care of and I needed to haul a$$ to check out and get to DUB). You'd be better served taking some responsibility for getting from point A to B when traveling. I arrived home 30 minutes earlier than planned last night so in the end, being proactive paid off.
